When Glimpses Grow Up part IV

chapters 16, 17, 18, 19

When I was younger, I caught glimpses — tiny, electric flashes of understanding that vanished before I can hold them. They arrived like quick light through leaves. I felt a sudden sense that life might be wider, deeper, and kinder than I had known. But they slipped away. I wasn’t sure they mattered or if they belonged anywhere beyond that brief shimmer.

Now, older, I notice the glimpses come differently. They stay. They gather weight and weave themselves into what has already been revealed. Each one joins the next. They form a living thread that ties back to earlier awakenings. This connects to my values and passions, leading to a slow-growing sense of purpose. What were once stray sparks now start to illuminate a path. The path is not complete or final. Still, it is clear enough to walk with faith.

This is part of becoming: the fleeting becomes formative. Glimpses mature into a story we can trust.
