Psychological Services & Fees in Calgary

Anton Psychology & Associates provides thoughtful, evidence-informed psychological therapy for adults in Calgary and throughout Alberta.

You may be coming to therapy because something is difficult—anxiety, stress, ADHD, burnout, relationship concerns, work pressure, or a significant life transition. Or perhaps nothing is obviously wrong, but something no longer feels quite right.

You do not have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.

Therapy begins with understanding what is happening, what may be contributing to it, and what you want to be different. Our psychologists offer a warm, respectful space to think carefully about your experience and find a way forward that fits your life.

Insurance and Direct Billing

Psychological services are covered by many extended health and employee benefit plans.

Coverage varies between plans, so we recommend checking your policy to confirm:

  • whether psychological services are covered;
  • whether a Registered Psychologist or Registered Provisional Psychologist is eligible under your plan;
  • your annual or per-session limits; and
  • whether your insurer offers direct billing.

We offer direct billing where available.

If your insurance does not cover the full session fee, you are responsible for the remaining balance.

Choosing the Right Psychologist

There is no single “best” psychologist. The right fit depends on what you are looking for and the kind of relationship you want to develop in therapy.

You might choose based on:

Your concerns
For example, you may want someone with particular experience in anxiety, ADHD, relationships, workplace stress, trauma, or health psychology.

Your preferences
Some people want a highly reflective space. Others prefer a more practical and structured approach. Many want a combination of both.

Your circumstances
Location, virtual availability, appointment times, and fees may also matter.

The relationship
Perhaps most importantly, therapy works best when you feel comfortable being honest, curious, and understood.

If you are unsure, start by exploring the psychologists’ profiles and seeing whose approach resonates with you.

Ready to Begin?

You do not need to have everything figured out before your first appointment.

The first session is an opportunity to slow down, explain what has brought you to therapy, and begin making sense of what you are experiencing.

From there, you and your psychologist can decide together what would be most helpful.
